The Writing On the Walls.

Graffiti is a form of illegal art. It is usually tag names, drawings or slogans spray-painted on public property. Many people don't understand the art of graffiti but just recognize it as vandalism. The people behind the slogans and tag names visualize it as a way to become recognized and a way to express themselves. Personally, when I walk down a street and see graffiti, I find it pretty fascinating. Most of the people complaining about it probably can't even draw half as good as the "vandalizers." I think it makes the world more interesting and it adds on to having something to look at.You can truly understand a person by looking at their creations. I know many teenagers that sit there for hours perfecting their work and want other people to recognize their abilities. To do graffiti, a lot of time and money is required. Graffiti artists spend a lot of money buying spray cans and markers. They also buy sketch books in which they draw in until their work meets their satisfaction. I think graffiti should not be a crime, it should be looked at as a form of art.

Flight 1549

The other day, I was watching 60 minutes with my mother. It was about an incredible man, Chesley Sullenberger, who saved more than 100 lives. The plane was originally supposed to land in North Carolina but after only being 90 seconds in the air is when the birds were sucked into the engines. "The smell of burned feathers filled the air," said our hero. That is when he knew he was in trouble. He glided the plane onto the water in less than 5 minutes hoping the plane wouldn't break into pieces. When realizing he managed to land the plane in one piece, he still wasn't satisfied. He was waiting until everybody got off the plane alive. When he heard the news of "All 155 passengers were alive," that is when a smile appeared on his face. A week after, all the passengers reunited with the captain in the original destination of North Carolina. Wives were coming up to him and thanking him for saving the lives of their husbands and not leaving them as widows. Those words is what finally made Captian Sullenberger realize that he was indeed a hero.
